Here’s my comment on it:

Seems pretty easy to test- write a little script, shoot a 3 minute infomercial and put it on youtube. Make a landing page where people can make you offers. Post the offers for 72 hours so you create a bidding situation.
I think I might try it with one of my marginal domains.
You’d have to be careful not to make any claims though.
